It’s hard to believe that December has come. The year 2017 at an end and of course the festive season is turned up a gear! Additionally, there is SNOW, yes snow in the UK. It is always pretty when everywhere is snowy white. Anyway, this month also means a lot more knitwear is worn and styled. I am a big fan of turtlenecks! I love the feminine and sophisticated look, it gives. There are also numerous styles of turtlenecks out there. There are the smaller ones and the chunky ones.
I must say I have really enjoyed dressing for this time of the year. I’m usually not a fan of winter because requires loads of layering and thick jackets and socks. For some people that is a dream as it just means wearing loads of jumpers. However, I think because I have been working on readjusting my wardrobe and investing in good quality, I have started to embrace this chill, and enjoy dressing for it.
I was instantly drawn to this turtleneck from & Other Stories. It featured in my jumper and coat wish list and glad I made the purchase. I was attracted to it, because the colour is such a lovely neutral violet colour which I don’t have in my wardrobe. I also like how the turtleneck is quite high and thick. This outfit I felt so comfy in. The jacket is also a new addition to the wardrobe. I was on the search for a coloured jacket, I didn’t want the standard black or camel colour. When I saw this dark green one I knew it was a must have. It was a real struggle to get this jacket, as it was sold out online. But luckily one evening I checked H&M website in my favourites tab, and my size the only size was available! So it was a swift online purchase!
Jacket – H&M (Sold out 🙁 )
Jumper – & Other Stories
Jeans – Levi’s
Trainers – Blush pink high top Converse
The jumper really makes the outfit standout and the jacket balances the outfit giving it that overall winter feels. I also like how I am able to tie up the jacket like a dressing gown hahaha. When I tie the jacket I like how it gives it that fitted look and very sophisticated look.
Are you loving turtlenecks this winter or what jacket are you rocking out this period! I will love to know. Please leave comments below! Enjoy xx
