One of the charms of London is the endless secret corners that have character and the perfect backdrop for photos. You forget that your actually in a city! A very popular, yet underestimated place in London is St Luke’s Mews in Notting Hill.
Last week I was around that area with a friend showing them the hidden charms of the city, which are also very photogenic areas too. When I arrived there, I must say it was incredibly quiet as it is tucked away from a main road. It is a short walk approximately about 10mins from Ladbroke Grove Underground station. Once you get there you get to appreciate the cute coloured houses, with the greenery and plants surrounding the area. The cobbled street contributes to its beauty also.
I’m very sure during the weekends this area will be booming with people lining up to take photos in front of these houses, luckily going during the week was a good idea. We were the only ones there pretty much with some builders down the road too but yeah pretty empty. Making it easier and more comfortable to take photos.
I always find it enjoyable to discover new areas of this city, but also I like to challenge myself to follow directions in order to unravel places like this. It just makes me realise how big the city is, and how it’s such a vibrant and quirky city filled with areas like this. With the weather finally warming up this is a great chance to explore.
Another bonus when you come across these secret corners is the fact you can have all the space to have a quick OOTD photoshoot! It was quite a dull day sadly which is kind of reflected in my dark assemble. Which usually isn’t the case for me. However I did throw a bit of colour in there with my pink converse and statement necklace. These trousers were a really good steal in the Topshop sale online. I got them for £22.50! They were in the tall section online and thought they will be a great addition to the wardrobe. Especially as I want to wear more trouser alternatives, not always jeans and will also be good to wear for work.
